Not all bodyshops are the same
Repairing modern, technologically advanced motor vehicles has never been more challenging. Higher build quality, complex vehicle body design and electronics require much more skilful and competent technicians than had been required in the past.
An important feature to look for is BSI "Kitemark" approval.
What is BSI "Kitemark"?
PAS 125 is a Publicly Available Specification created by the Insurance and Body Repair industries, independently audited and certified by the British Standards Institute. The "kitemark" is the UK's most trusted and recognised symbol of quality and safety. This voluntary scheme shows that GB Flints have chosen to meet the correct standards to deliver safe, quality crash repair services.
How does "Kitemark" control the process?
GB Flints are audited by BSi twice each year without warning. The inspection focuses on five key elements of the process. Is the technician correctly trained and skilled? Is the correct repair technique being used? Incorrect repair methods could seriously compromise vehicle strength and occupant safety in the event of another crash. Are materials of the correct quality and specification being used? Use of substandard parts and materials will change the crash performance of your vehicle. Are the appropriate tools being used and are they correctly maintained? Finally is there a management system to ensure consistent quality and safe repairs?
Why is this good for you?
Reassurance. Kitemark shows that you are placing your crash repair in expert hands.
Trust. Kitemark allows you to trust the integrity and safety of the work done so that your car will protect you to the same level as it did before the accident.
Safety. Kitemark shows that GB Flints are serious about the safety of you and your passengers.
