History

GB Flint Coachworks Ltd was established by Brian Flint back in 1962 in a garage in Long Eaton.

Brian’s first bodyshop extended to 2000 sq ft and his panel beating skills together with an eagle eye for
quality resulted in GB Flint Coachworks building an excellent reputation and it wasn’t long before motorists in the area were using the phrase “Flints for Dints!”
Never one to let the grass grow under his feet, Brian was one of the first bodyshops in the country to employ
Glasurit two pack paint technology at his newly opened, 5,000 sq ft Queens Street site, which saw the installation of one of the UK’s first Spraybake spraybooths, ensuring the best performance from Glasurit’s leading edge 54 line basecoat and clear and 21 line solid colour automotive
refinish paints.

The Future and Now

GB Flint Coachworks is approved by several insurance companies and they have an excellent working relationship with two of the country’s leading names in insurance and accident management.

GB Flint is also the only repairer approved by the Nottinghamshire Police Force.

The future for GB Flint Coachworks is to develop their vehicle manufacturer approvals, particularly for the mid-range marques and to continue to strive to raise tandards of service and repair on behalf of themselves and the vehicle repair industry as a whole.
